I had my first physical therapy appointment for my bad ankles Wednesday, and after talking to me and looking me over, they're going to work on strengthening my ankles and my glutes since my leg muscles are stiff and weak in places. Today I went to the podiatrist about my MRI results and she was less doom and gloomy about the ankle this time. Depending on my pain levels, I can get out of the boot for walking within a week or two weeks, which is quicker than originally suggested. I'm not in much pain now, but I'll wear the boot for at least another week. Still have to do PT ( Read more... )

Since my left ankle I injured Wednesday got worse, Friday morning I went to the podiatrist, and she wants me to wear a podiatric boot for 4 weeks and is worried about soft tissue damage, like tendon tearing, so I have an MRI appointment for February 6 ( Read more... )

Urgh. I'm sick today, so I did an at-home covid test. Which says I'm negative but my brain keeps asking, "What if you did it wrong?" ~sigh~

So I've had to put off visiting my friend a bit due to a few things: injuring my right ankle (again) Monday night, major cold snap, flooding in New Jersey, coming snowstorm, Amtrak canceling some of its schedule. Friday started with a rude awakening by a phone call back from my neurologist's office at 9 am, two hours before I was set to get up to go to the podiatrist appointment. ( My health care options continue to suck. )

So I bought a new used car Tuesday and the anxiety over being capable of paying for it is killing me. Like actual occasional chest pain.
